We knew exactly what to do. Honing the natural interior trend that’s been taking off this season, we themed the night “Rustic Chic”.
Just like the students, The Bottle House was dressed to the nines. Bringing a touch of the outdoors in, tables were decorated with burlap, wood pieces, and mason jars. Soft pink flowers in milk jugs and candles adorned each table, adding an air of elegance to the prom-perfect décor.
On prom night, our entrance was buzzing with the sound of students pulling up in limos, vintage cars, and even fire trucks! A red carpet led students inside to the photo area in Hollywood fashion. Our team at the bar served prom punch and sodas along with a spread of chocolate-covered strawberries, cheesecake, and pinwheels.
Screens around the room displayed a Facebook Live feed of students walking in – they didn’t miss the opportunity to make a shining entrance! Once all students were in, the DJ ensured the prom-goers danced the night away.
At the end of the night, the anticipated prom king and queen winners were announced. A huge congrats to Travis Lutz and Amanda Wray!
Students later made their way on charter buses to the after-prom in Lee Summit, where their night continued until 5am.
We had a blast hosting Ottawa High’s 2018 Prom Night – it really was a night to remember.
